Grand Rapids, Mich. — Mechanical contractor and fabricator Andy J. Egan Co. (Egan) announces the expansion of its Service Division by adding a team of Heavy Chiller Mechanics. The company is now able to offer repairs and maintenance of 50 to 3,000 ton chillers, including air-cooled, water cooled and centrifugal chillers, as well as both low and medium voltage chillers.
“This team may be new to Egan, but they are industry veterans with more than 60 years combined experience,” said Dave Antonowitsch, Egan’s Director of Service and Controls. “Our industrial and institutional customers will especially benefit from Egan’s ability to service and repair their heavy chillers, whether as part of a preventative maintenance plan or our 24-hour emergency services.”
Egan’s Chiller Mechanics are factory trained to service the most common brands of chillers including York, Daikin, Trane, McQuay, Dunham Bush, JCI and others. For customers throughout Michigan, they will perform preventative maintenance, teardowns and rebuilds, centrifugal overhauls, comprehensive inspections, performance checks, vibration analysis, and large horsepower motor rebuilds on the following types of chillers: scroll, screw, centrifugal, reciprocating, steam absorption and magnetic bearing.
With the addition of the Chiller Mechanic Team, Egan’s Service Division has more than 40 service specialists, plus 11 building controls technicians and a team of support staff. The integration of in-house service and building controls, plus a full suite of mechanical services, makes Egan unique in the region as a turnkey specialty contractor. The company is also West Michigan’s only Johnson Controls Authorized Building Controls Specialist, which allows Egan to provide extended product warranties and better pricing on JCI products.
