Grand Rapids, Mich.—Mechanical contractor and fabricator Andy J. Egan Co. (Egan) has once again been named West Michigan’s “Best of the Best, Small Business” in the annual Best and Brightest Companies to Work For awards program. The award is one of 13 “Elite” honors presented to companies who represent the best practices in human resources programs, as evaluated by the National Association for Business Resources (NABR).

Egan has earned 12 Elite awards in all, and has been named one of West Michigan's top companies for 16 consecutive years. This is the third time Egan has been named the "Best of the Best, Small Business," having received the same award in 2021 and in 2013. An independent research firm evaluates each company based on key measures across multiple categories. The three companies -- grouped by small, medium and large businesses -- that excel in all categories earn the title "Best of the Best." Other elite awards have spanned several categories that include “Best of the Best,” “Recruitment, Selection & Orientation,” “Compensation, Benefits & Employee Solutions,” and "Communication & and Shared Vision.”

Since 2014, Egan has also been recognized as one of the nation’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For, including one elite award. In 2021, the company was among the nation's top 101 employers. The NABR honored all of West Michigan's Best and Brightest Companies to Work For on Tuesday, July 12 during a luncheon at the Pinnacle Center in Hudsonville.
