Grand Rapids, Mich.—Mechanical contractor and fabricator Andy J. Egan Co. (Egan) has been named West Michigan’s “Best of the Best, Medium Business” in the annual Best and Brightest Companies to Work For awards program. The award is one of 13 “Elite” honors presented to companies who represent the best practices in human resources programs. It also marks the tenth year in a row that Egan has received an award in one of these elite categories and the company’s 14th appearance on the list of West Michigan’s top employers.
Egan, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2019, is a fourth-generation, family-owned business. Executives credit the company’s longevity with the same culture that has earned Egan the reputation as an outstanding place to work. “Our team is what sets Egan apart,” says Amy Jones, Egan’s Vice President and Head of Human Resources. “We strive to recognize the incredible talents and contributions of our employees. Receiving this award is a tribute to the strength of our team, and we’re so honored to have made this list for a decade.”
Since 2014, Egan has also been recognized as one of the nation’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For, including one elite award. In the West Michigan awards program, the company’s elite awards have spanned several categories that include “Best of the Best,” “Recruitment, Selection & Orientation,” “Compensation, Benefits & Employee Solutions,” and "Communication & and Shared Vision.”
