Grand Rapids, Mich.—Two award-winning projects in the portfolio of mechanical contractor Andy J. Egan Co. (Egan) have earned additional honors. Engineering News Record (ENR), has named Holland Energy Park a finalist for its 2018 Project of the Year Award. Egan's scope for this 114 MW combined cycle natural gas power plant included industrial piping, fabrication and install, startup, equipment setting, and construction technology solutions. Previously, the project had earned ENR's 2018 Best Project in the Energy/Industrial Category.
The Associated General Contractors of Michigan (AGC) has recognized the HealthPointe Integrated Care Facilty project with a Build Michigan Award in the category of Construction Management. Egan provided complete plumbing and HVAC for this new, 100,000+ square-foot facility. The Associated Builders and Contractors of Michigan (ABC) had previously honored this project with a 2018 Excellence in Construction Award.
