We are seeking a skilled and experienced Controls Service Sales Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems and controls, with expertise in estimating and pricing projects related to automation and building controls.

Duties:

• Evaluate project requirements and specifications to accurately estimate costs for HVAC automation controls projects.
• Provide cost estimates in timely manner.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop comprehensive project proposals and bids.
• Analyze blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine material and labor requirements.
• Conduct site visits and assessments to gather information and assess project scope as well as ensure customer satisfaction.
• Research and source materials, equipment, and subcontractor services to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
• Utilize estimating software and tools to streamline the estimation process and ensure accuracy.
• Present estimates and proposals to clients, addressing any questions or concerns and negotiating terms as needed.
• Maintain records of estimates, bids, and project documentation for future reference and analysis.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to HVAC automation controls.
• Sales territory will primarily be Kalamazoo and Benton Harbor with extra support in Grand Rapids

Skills & Experience:

• 3+ years’ experience in HVAC Service, Controls and Sales experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Construction Management, HVAC Engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Professional Estimator) a plus.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an estimator in the HVAC industry, with a focus on automation controls.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, building automation, and control systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with attention to detail.
• Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and interact with clients.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
